To reduce spam in your channel, you can add a user cooldown, applying on a per user basis.
By default, the user cooldown is set to 5 seconds and user cooldown announcements are enabled.
Moderators, VIPs and the Broadcaster are all exempt from being affected by the cooldown.
Set the Cooldown
You can set the cooldown by running the following command, replacing <seconds>;
- Usage:
-settings cooldown set <seconds> - Example:
-settings cooldown set 20
Set the Cooldown Announcement
You can also modify whether the bot should notify the user that they are in cooldown.
You can set the announcement status with the following command, replacing <enable/disable>;
- Usage:
-settings cooldown announce <enable/disable> - Example:
-settings cooldown announce disable
View the Cooldown
You can view the cooldown by running the following command;
- Usage & Example:
-settings cooldown view
Reset the Cooldown
You can reset the cooldown back to the default 5 seconds with the following commands;
